Cook until the second side is golden brown.
Quick and Easy Recipes

Easy Beef Stew Recipe

Ingredients
2 pounds of cubed beef stew meat
3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
4 cubes of beef bouillon, crumbled
4 cups of water
1 teaspoon of dried rosemary
1 teaspoon of dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
3 large potatoes
4 carrots
4 stalks of celery
1 large onion
4 teaspoons of cornstarch
2 teaspoons of cold water

Directions
1. Ladle enough of the meat sauce into a 9x13 inch baking dish to cover the bottom in a thin layer. Form a layer atop the sauce with 3 of the lasagna sheets. Spread about 1/4 of the ricotta cheese mixture over the lasagna sheets. Sprinkle about 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese over the ricotta cheese mixture and then ladle about 1/3 of the meat sauce over the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layering twice more, topping with the remaining 1/4 pound of mozzarella cheese.
6. Bake in preheated oven 90 minutes. Allow to sit 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
Quick and Easy Recipes

Pancake Recipe

Simple pancake recipe.

Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 egg
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Move oven rack to the center position.
2. In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, garlic, rosemary, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Toss in 2 tablespoons olive oil to moisten mixture. Set aside.
3. Season the rack all over with salt and pepper. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large heavy oven proof skillet over high heat. Sear rack of lamb for 1 to 2 minutes on all sides. Set aside for a few minutes. Brush rack of lamb with the mustard. Roll in the bread crumb mixture until evenly coated. Cover the ends of the bones with foil to prevent charring.
4. Arrange the rack bone side down in the skillet. Roast the lamb in preheated oven for 12 to 18 minutes, depending on the degree of doneness you want. With a meat thermometer, take a reading in the center of the meat after 10 to 12 minutes and remove the meat, or let it cook longer, to your taste. Let it rest for 5 to 7 minutes, loosely covered, before carving between the ribs.
Quick and Easy Recipes

Easy Mini Quiche

Ingredients
6 slices bacon, chopped
1 onion, chopped
3 eggs
3/4 cup buttermilk baking mix
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 cups shredded American cheese

Directions
1. Contrary to popular belief, preparing them may be a convenient task after all. Here are some practical tips for a quick easy vegetarian meal.

Pre Cook Vegetables

You don't need to wash, prepare or cook your veggies on the spot. In fact, expert cooks boil twice or thrice as many vegetables in one sitting and then just freeze the extra for use on the third day.

Find out which vegetables can be prepared before meals so that you won't have to prepare them at several different times. Vegetable soup can also be prepared in this way. Just make sure that you add a little more water when you take it out of the fridge on the second or third day. As an added note, be sure to label your pre cooked veggies and food with the date so that you know which ones should be taken out first and eaten and which ones are nearing expiration.

Alternate Breakfast Cooking

Mornings usually require a truly quick easy vegetarian meal because everyone is in a hurry for school and office. You can simply alternate cooking breakfast with quick meals so that you don't have to be haggard every morning. Cook eggs, waffles and the like every other day. On your non-cook days, simply add a generous amount of nuts, berries, fruits and a little honey on cereal mixes or ready to eat oatmeal for a truly healthy and hearty meal in the morning.

Prepare Snacks

Snacks are no longer considered unhealthy as long as you serve nutrition packed snacks. Snacks help control and delay family member's appetites for main meals. This means that you'll have more time to prepare your quick easy vegetarian meal.

You can add a few new items everyday, instead of the usual cheese and crackers, to keep your family interested in healthy snacks . You can try some mixed nuts, yogurt with diced fruits or simply mixed fruits in their own juice. One other delicious option would be to mash and mix some fruits like melon or avocado with a little milk.

Follow the Plan

Preparing them would be smoother if you follow a daily plan. This will not only assist you in coming up with a quick easy vegetarian meal but will also help you generate more ideas.

As a note of caution however, you should try your best to only use tried and tested recipes for this type of plan on your busy days. It is not a good idea to experiment on new dishes and recipes when you are pressed for time. Prepare Veggies ahead.

It is best to do your vegetarian grocery shopping on weekends when you don't have work. Make sure that you set aside some time after shopping to immediately wash, chop, peel and store some of your vegetables. You can even have some of them packed in mixed bunches already so all you have to do for your meal is to open a packet and cook. This strategy though works best for salads because some recipes will taste bad if you cook all the ingredients together. Pour in the chicken broth, and stir to loosen any bits from the bottom of the pan.
2. When the broth comes to a boil, stir in the orzo pasta. Reduce heat to low, cover the pan, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until pasta has absorbed all of the liquid. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking, especially towards the end. Take a look at our handy hints and guidelines to making the lightest, fluffiest and most delightful puff pastries you've ever imagined!

1. Always remember to use cold ingredients in your recipe for making pastry as these ensure you get a flakey crust and fat that is extra cold when mixed into pre-chilled flour (especially useful in summer baking sessions), gives the best pastries ever!

2. If you remember to cut the fat in always up to the point that your mix looks akin to small peas or gravel then use it more to mould the dough, you can rest assured your pastry crust will be nice and light.

3. On the occasion that you are making a pie with a double crust to it, you may want to keep aside some dough to use as the bottom crust; dividing this in two portions and keeping one bigger than the other will help you cover the baking needs.

4. Previously chilled pastry is easy to mould and handle than one that has been left out, so do remember to refrigerate your pasty dough for at least half an hour before using the product.

5. The option of chilling the pastry dough in the fridge for 10 minutes extra is all right too, and people are known to freeze it for up to 3 days after wrapping it in air-tight material, which ensures easy handling when needed for shaping or rolling it. Pre-chilled dough should be ideally kept for some time at room temperature to make it more pliable and this one of the best tips for making perfect pastries I know.

6. Lightly dust some flour on the wax paper before rolling out the pastry dough on it; invert it over the pan when ready and peel the waxpaper off once the filling is done. It's an easy way to transfer the pastry without a dent in it!

7. If perchance, the pastry does break while transferring, you can pinch or press the dough back together again smoothly. For other problems that can't be patched up easily, you can use pieces for trimming for fixing these up.

Overall, you need to remember to resist from stretching the pastry to fit over the pie-dish along the bottom crust and instead try to ease it into the pan, lightly insert it into the bottom crease using gentle finger-tip motion to do so.

On a parting note, for top crusts with a shine, lightly brush these with cream a little before baking them to get a shiny top and evenly sprinkle a generous pinch of sugar over - for added sweetness.

Abhishek is a cooking enthusiast! Typical room temperature of 70 degrees also works well.

6) When storing olive oil, make sure that the cap to the container is on tight.

7) If you wish to refrigerate your olive oil, keep in mind that this does not compromise most grades of oil, but it isn't suggested for an expensive extra virgin since condensation may develop in the bottle, which can ultimately affect the flavor.

8) In cold temperatures, don't forget that olive oil may cloud or become solid. Once the olive oil is taken out of the refrigerator, it will resume its original, liquid composition when exposed to a room temperature environment.

9) The best kind of containers for olive oil is made out of tinted glass, porcelain, or stainless steel. Never store olive oil in a plastic container or something that is made out of reactive metals.

10) When cooking with olive oil, the most expensive kind (extra-virgin) is best saved for salads, dressings, and vinaigrettes. Extra virgin olive oil also adds life to cooked vegetables, fish, and meat.

11) When sautéing or frying, it is OK to combine extra virgin and regular olive oil. As for deep-frying, choose regular olive oil, as virgin or extra virgin oils tend to smoke quicker.

12) When substituting olive oil for butter, you will not use the same measurements. One teaspoon of butter equates to 3/4 teaspoons of olive oil. Also rely upon the following butter-to-olive oil conversions: 2 teaspoons = 1 1/2 teaspoons; 1 tablespoon = 2 1/4 teaspoons; 2 tablespoons = 1 1/4 tablespoons; 1/4 cup = 3 tablespoons; 1/3 cup = 1/4 cup; 1/2 cup = 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons; 2/3 cup = 1/2 cup; 3/4 cup = 1/2 cup and 1 tablespoon; 1 cup = 3/4 cup

San Javier http://www.greatkitchentools.com

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=San_Javier http://EzineArticles.com/?Cooking-With-Olive-Oil-Tips&id=865648
The traditional Turkey Thanksgiving dinner is
one of my favorite meals and the leftovers I would
have to say are a close runner up as my next favorite.

Many of my friends seem to be at a lost or at least
struggling when it comes to doing more with the
leftover than just reheating them. I would like to
dedicate this section to those who would like some
suggestions for some really great recipes to use for
turkey leftovers.

TURKEY CHILI

1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green and or red pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp sugar
1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
1 (10 oz) can tomatoes and green chiles, undrained
1 (15 oz) can Great Northern beans drained
2 cups shredded cooked turkey
3/4 cup water

Combine onion, pepper, garlic, and oil in a 2 quart
glass measure.

Cover and microwave at high 3 minutes or until
onion is tender, stirring every minute.

Add chili powder and next four ingredients;
stirring well.

Microwave, uncovered, at high 6 to 9 minutes or
until slightly thickened, stirring mixture every 3 minutes.

Add remaining ingredients; stir well. Microwave,
uncovered, at high 6 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

Makes 5-6 servings

TURKEY TETRAZZINI

1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup each flour & margarine
1 cup skim milk
1-1/2 cups chicken broth
1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp dried whole tarragon
1/8 tsp fresh ground pepper
1 dash of ground nutmeg
2-1/2 cups cooked pasta of your choice
1-1/2 cups turkey, cooked/chopped
1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese divided

Saute onion and mushrooms in margarine in a
large, heavy saucepan until just tender. My teenage daughter will eat leftover spaghetti for breakfast, lunch, and as a mid-afternoon snack. Not everyone loves spaghetti so much that they will go to that extreme, however, and the same meals can getting boring after awhile. Here are some ways to jazz up this old favorite:

Italian Sausage Spaghetti

2 lbs. Italian sausage
48 oz. spaghetti sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
Green pepper, sliced thin
1 lg. onion, sliced thin
1 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1 c. water

Place sausage in skillet and cover in water. Simmer 10 minutes; drain. Meanwhile, place remaining ingredients in crock pot. Add drained sausage and cover; cook on low 4 hours. Increase to high; cook 1 hour more. Cut sausage in bite-size slices and serve over cooked spaghetti. Sprinkle with more Parmesan, if desired.

Irish Italian Spaghetti

1 onion, chopped
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Dash of red pepper
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. tabasco sauce
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can condensed tomato soup
1 (8 oz.) package spaghetti
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Brown onion in oil.
