For variations of this Chili Con Carne recipe, you could try adding pinto beans, or adding more of less spices to your taste.
Ingredients
1 kg (2 pounds) of minced beef
1 can of tomatos with their juice
2 cans of kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup of chopped onions
1 chopped green pepper
1 pinch of ground cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
1 teaspoon of salt
1 1/2 teaspoons of ground cumin
1/4 cup of chili powder
Directions
1. Put the beef in a large saucepan and cook gently until evenly brown.
2. On a higher heat, add the tomatoes, kidney beans, onions, pepper, salt, pepper and spices. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 1 and a half hours, stirring once in a while.
